Together we make more stem cell donations possible
In collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center and Stichting Matchis, the Dutch center for stem cell donors, Amgen has made it possible for stem cell donors to receive their preparatory treatment at home since 219. This has created more donation opportunities during the week, allowing more patients to receive donated stem cells.
Each year, the Nursing Advisory Board (VAR) of LUMC awards the Annual Care Award to various nursing target groups who have implemented improvement projects within their departments. In 2019, it was awarded to the team from the Hemapheresis Unit, Center for Stem Cell Therapy for their efforts around the AmgenCare donor program.
