The awareness campaign “Dit wil je niet missen” (“Don’t miss out”) highlights the warning signs and risk factors associated with heart attack, and the importance of recognizing them early.
Amgen has launched its national awareness campaign “Dit wil je niet missen”. The campaign draws attention to warning signs and risk factors associated with heart attack, as well as the importance of timely recognition. It is part of the new platform www.verstopjeniet.nl. The campaign is being promoted through radio, out of home advertising, including highway billboards, digital channels, social media, and public relations.

A heart attack can have a major impact on everyday life. Some risk factors can go unnoticed for a long time. Through “Dit wil je niet missen” Amgen aims to encourage adults aged 40 and older to reflect on their heart health and start a conversation with family and friends and, where appropriate, with their healthcare professional.
The campaign combines heart health information with the personal stories of people who have experienced a heart attack. At www.verstopjeniet.nl, visitors can read these stories, learn about risk factors and warning signs, and find information on steps they can take to help reduce their risk of a heart attack. Over time, the platform will be further developed into a source of information on cardiovascular disease.
Amgen launched this campaign to help support earlier and better recognition of heart attacks. In doing so, we aim to contribute to the mission of the Dutch Cardiovascular Alliance to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in the Netherlands by 25% by 2030, including through earlier detection of cardiovascular disease.1 The campaign also aligns with other important national health policy priorities.
From awareness to conversation
Christophe Cosio, General Manager of Amgen Netherlands: “Many people do not consider their risk of a heart attack, precisely because risk factors can remain unnoticed for a long time. With this campaign, we aim to encourage people to gain a better understanding of their own health by knowing their numbers and being aware of the risk factors and warning signs of a heart attack.”
