Sustainability is a high priority for us. Amgen strives to minimize our impact on the environment in order to preserve natural resources for future generations. Together with our partners and suppliers, we are making efforts to make the pharmaceutical industry more sustainable. In doing so, we look not only at all phases of the life cycle of a medicine, but also at making the entire healthcare system more sustainable. This is why we have signed the 'Green Deal 3.0' which aims to accelerate the sustainability of the healthcare sector.

We are reducing our impact on the environment through various activities in the Netherlands, but also worldwide. Our 2027 goals are ambitious: we want to be CO2 neutral by 2027, use 40% less water and produce 75% less waste compared to 2019.

At Amgen Breda, we have implemented several projects in recent years that are in line with the Amgen 2027 ambition. The infographic and examples below show some of our successes, which we are happy to share. We expect this list of sustainability successes to grow significantly in the coming years,

This infographic shows Amgen's sustainability goals and a number of initiatives in the Netherlands such as its electric fleet, waste separation, LED lighting and one of its buildings having the energy label A++++.
