Every year thousands of Dutch people are told that they have a form of blood cancer. To cure them a stem cell donor can help, but the chance to find a suitable donor is extremely small. Amgen therefore finds it very important to recruit as many donors as possible for Matchis and to facilitate donorship. We do this through various activities, including this campaign during world Blood Cancer Awareness Month. We will be cycling the Elfstedenfietsocht for the second time: a beautiful route of 100 or 235 kilometers through the "Friesland 11-cities". We hope for a fun and sporty September 9 with a high yield and much attention for Matchis, so that (in the future) all donors can be registered.
