Together Against Blood Cancer: Amgen cycles 11-Cities Tour for Matchis

In September, global attention is drawn to blood cancer, a complex disease that affects thousands of Dutch people annually. The search for a suitable stem cell donor is often a challenge due to the small chance of finding a match. On September 8th, Amgen participated in the 11-cities Cycle Tour on bicycles for Matchis, the centre for stem cell donors. During this journey through the Frisian Eleven Cities, Amgen colleagues covered a distance of 100 or 235 kilometers to raise awareness for blood cancer, recruit new donors, and raise funds for the registration of new donors.

Amgen recognizes the great importance of stem cell donation and, therefore, took up the challenge with 26 Amgen cyclists. Thanks to their dedication and our fantastic sponsors, the registration costs for approximately 660 new donors can now be covered.

If you missed this event but still want to support Matchis or want to register yourself as a stem cell donor, visit the www.matchis.nl website.
